Jamie had been living the perfect family life with two loving parents and two younger brothers. Until he turned 15 and everything in his life went downhill when his mother comitted suicide. His dad disappeared, leaving him and his two brothers all alone in their  house with no explanation. The boys stayed there for several weeks, not knowing what to do. After a while a woman from the youth welfare found them. It was quite unlikely that Jamie would get into a foster family because of his age, so he got placed at a children’s home without his brothers. Not being able to deal with all these happenings, he started to take heavy drugs to escape the reality. That’s how he spent the last year before he turned invisible. He was found by Kristen who had been staring at the handsome guy after a heavy party night in town. He was glad that finally someone payed attention because the night before no one seemed to hear him or react in any way when he talked to them. When he asked her why she was staring at him, she figured out that he had to be one of them if he could see her without goggles. Kristen brought him to the safe house. He tries to fit in and get away from the drugs because for Jamie the safe house is the place that comes closest to a home since his mum had died.
